Cash Drop Alert

Cash Drop Alerts is a Clover App designed to help you manage the amount of cash in a Clover’s cash box. We allow you to set the maximum amount of cash you would like in your cash box. Simply choose the maximum amount of money you would like in your cash box. When that level is hit we notify the employee working on that specific register that a cash drop is needed. We also provide a log of when each alert had occurred, which employee was working, and when action was taken to reduce the cash level. To top it off each Clover Device associated with your account can have different limits set at no extra cost!

Where to Start

Cash Drop Alerts can be downloaded from the Clover App market. The Clover App Market is found on your Clover Device by clicking the Get More Tools icon.

Once installed please open our app and set the settings. Specifically, set the trigger amount and the goal amount of cash you would like to have after you have reduced the amount of cash in your cash drawer. Once these settings are set, make sure you turn the notifications on, by clicking on the toggle. When the alerts are on the toggle is pinkish in color. Once done with settings are complete you will be notified that the settings have been updated to the cloud. In order for our notifications to be set you must have an internet connection. Once done simply click the red x icon in the top right.

 

What Exactly Happens Next?

Next continue business as usual, one the Clover Cash drawer total surpasses the amount you set you will be alerted. When the alert occurs you can either take action immediately and drop cash by entering the amount the notification or you can dismiss the alert. The alert will recur after each sale until the amount of cash in your drawer is below the alert level.

How Do Your Reduce The Cash Level In Clover?

The cash level can be reduced from our notification or can be reduced from the register or Clover Dining Apps as normal.

 

How Do You Calculate The Cash Box Level?

We track the amount of cash in your cash box over a rolling 7 day period.  You must manage your cash box at least once per week to keep our app in sync with the actual cash level. We suggest you zero out your register at the end of each day and start fresh the next morning. This does not need to be done daily but we suggest that you do not go more than 5 days with out zeroing out your register to insure we keep accurate record of the actual cash in your cash drawer.
